Oh I hope you will keep posting updates as eggs appear and hatch! It looks like improvements to the nest are still being made.

What is your setup like? What equipment did you use to film them? Where did the light come from?

I bought the camera on Amazon. It has some IR LEDs on it that the camera can pick up at night but the birds will not notice. I left it in the box all winter and it still works. The camera came with around 50ft of cable because there is power, audio, and video signals. I have the cable running up the side of the house into a window. I hooked up that cable to a product I purchased several years ago made by Honestech that is made for transferring VHS tape to DVD. The software from honestech is used to capture the video to an old P4 computer.

This will be the second time I have captured video of chickadees nesting. If you look at my youtube homepage https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIfc1dlyLpdarSoDaP5UynA and scroll down you can see a whole series of videos from eggs to fledging from two summers ago. That year all eight chickadees left the nest box successfully.

Oh they are so cute!!! I perused your videos and watched as they hatched and grew. The care the parent bird(s) give is touching to watch. Thanks so much for posting!
