There appears to be a lot of dead growth in all those branches (which is not at all uncommon for many JM's). Have you pruned or thinned recently? Getting rid of the dead wood would improve the appearance for sure and also help to limit any disease and insect problems.

I'd also question how and where it is planted. Good, slightly acidic, fast draining soil and with some protection from afternoon sun. And mulching under the canopy is also advised.

The leaves don't look all that bad. They do show some signs of stress but that can be attributed to any variety of weather conditions present as they were emerging - strong rains, wind storms, excessive cold or heat, etc.

Clean up the tree and just keep an eye on it. I think it will be fine. And make sure it gets adequate water.

Murasaki Kiyohime are very dense trees everything you said in your comments are in place. We have an acre and a half with around 250 maples and 150 conifers this is the only tree with difficulties. This tree has been in the same place for 5 years. It started doing this a little last year but this year it's worse. Now perfectly good leaves are just dropping like crazy. I have two other trees the same type and they are perfectly fine. I cannot put my finger on what is going on with.
