I finally realized this past weekend that I'm not going to get any peaches this year. My 'Redhaven' tree has started to leaf out normally, but close inspection showed me that there are only a few flower buds left on the tree, and those still hanging on are likely dead (two flaked off when touched lightly). Disappointing, as this will be the tree's 3rd summer, so I was really looking forward to getting some peaches this year. I imagine it must have been the -9F Valentines day cold snap that did them in, especially after so much warm weather leading up to it. Anybody else with a peach tree, how is yours looking this year? Any recommendations for a variety that is a bit more flower-bud-hardy? (I know about Reliance, but I've heard the fruit quality is not great)
