My husband installed this color of tile in our last house when we redid the bathroom. I love it! We never got around to painting the bathroom but since I had biscuit and hunter green tiles in the bathroom, I was planning to paint the bath a light to medium sage green. I purchased sage green towels for the bathroom and they looked great with the darker greens.

This is the only photo I have of that bathroom. It is the back wall of tile and I designed the design that was used and my husband put up the tile. The color is a little off since we had no windows in this bathroom and I had to use artificial lighting to take the photo.

These towels are the same color of the towels I used in this bathroom.

What are the colors in your master bedroom? Without that info, I would probably paint the walls the palest of palest shade of the palest green in the tile. In other words barely a tint of the green in a white base paint. If you leave the walls white, all you see is the floor. Paint the ceiling the same colors as the walls. Also I like to see large art pieces in a bathroom where possible, you have that great recess above the tub. Maybe a very large pair of something.

Great bath! Just because the floor tile is green doesn't mean the walls have to be too. Your green is pretty neutral so just about any earth tone would work. Do you like coral? A large rug that incorporates the wall color would go a long way. Be careful with gray tones or the space will feel very cold.

Not if you get the right shade. Muted coral would be awesome.

Coral accents yes, like towels, but now matter how light it would be too much on the walls.

What shade of green do you recommend?

You would do well to keep the white walls and play it up with a huge picture over the tub. Then add your coral accents. Don't go with green anything.

I would do purple. I have a green tub to work around and found this fabric for Roman shades to tie it all together.

Here are some ideas. You don't have to paint it all coral.

I just moved and my master bath is also green matble tile. Not my favorite either, but its new. The previous owner painted the walls hunter green. I feel like im in a lodge and should have antlers on the wall! Lol i was thinking cream on the walls. I do like the coral idea for accenting.

What about SW Sea Salt?

HI -- This where Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore , would work --- it has a slight hint of green undertone and it will also go with the fixtures / tub and sinks etc. Then I would have lots of white towels and accents . Then just have hand towels with some green on them ... maybe a bit of green and coral if you find something like that. I think you should just have the green for the floors and not have green in large amounts for the rest of the room or it will look like the 80's .

We just redid our shower stall (still waiting on the frameless glass door) with the intention of doing the rest of the bathroom, but have had such a negative experience with construction we are going to hold off doing any more. Unfortunately the grey shower stall doesn't exactly match the existing bathroom. Would the pewter color you suggested tie the new shower stall with the existing bathroom?

Revere pewter is way overrated. I tried it with green tile and it does not look good. it is muddy grey with brown. terrible color. I cannot for the life of me understand why people like it. here I put a sample on the wall, it looks dark.

Whoever suggested SW Sea Salt is a genius and a lifesaver! My bathroom has green marble, knotty wooden cabinetry. It had yellow walls when we moved in and I was at a loss re: how to improve the bathroom. I was resigned to trying to save up enough to replace all the tile, but then finally saw this post and tried the paint suggestion. I cannot believe what a difference just that change made. The green marble actually looks very pretty now. Try it! I’m going to try adding some small coral accents too per the other suggestions.

I also have a bathroom with green marble floors - from 1994ish- has a fun mirror glued to wall above a cherry vanity with white corian top. Tile around tup and shower is white with a small accent line of the green marble in the shower and around tub. I plan to paint vanity white - leave the mirror (due to several issues including outlets) and update the vanity light - I also want to get a new vanity top - wondering if a light grey marble or granite works with the green floors - or can I go with dark grey or black? I was considering painting walls just a linen white with a true white on molding (but now wondering if I should go with the SW sea salt- I have brushed nickel accents...I would love feedback on countertop!

I hate my emerald marble floor in the bathroom but I have to keep it. I have an oak vanity and sand color sink. Toilet and Tub are beige. What color should I paint the walls ?
