What is the best cleaner for polished marble wall tiles in the shower? Also if a marble shower floor has white bleach stains on it is it possible to remove them? What is the safest cleaner for that type of floor?

Thanks for such great questions lisabraude! Generally speaking, a pH neutral cleaner is the best to use as marble is a very delicate stone (eg. a highly diluted mixture of water with dish soap). You would also want to make sure to dry the floor with a soft towel as best as possible as marble is very porous. The best option would be to contact your local marble supplier (or even better, the supplier of your own marble floor) and ask them for recommended cleaning options.

    Hope this helps,

There are a lot of choices online today as retailers have to by through multi-step distribution chains with everyone adding their own percentage every time it touches a company on it's way to you.

This Traditionally led to long lead times and high prices. The introduction of e-commerce changed a lot of things to how we buy and it is only natural for consumers to want to get closer to the source. Italy. They want a company that imports directly and buy from them, reducing their cost and increasing the quality.

There were a lot of "Pop-Up" e-commerce sites in 2011-2013 but most of those have given up or been removed as they have not kept up with the rules of selling online. Google is a little like the police and they have their own system. Google Trusted Stores.

We have created a "how to buy marble online guide" and put it on Houzz.com [here[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/to-buy-marble-online-or-to-not-buy-online-that-is-the-question-dsvw-vd~3812051).

The reality is you are looking for:

    1. A Google Trusted Store

    2. An online store with a constant Instagram Feed that shows pallets in a warehouse (not "Stock images")

    3. A Blog that continually flows and generates the same message with pictures of pallets as they come over from Italy and the product in them.

This picture I just ran out to our warehouse and took. A retailer with a showroom cannot do this. He cannot take a picture at the moment of your product. This picture was taken and then a few hours later sold onto a Restaurant remodel in NYC "Yes, it is an Italian Restaurant....mmm Yum!"

Carrara Beveled 3x6" Marble is not an easy find. We have 1,300 Square Feet in stock and it is attached to a mesh for easy installation current price $8.95 a Square Foot (subject to change over time). Available in Honed and Polished. Unless this was purchased from The Builder Depot then this probably cost over $20 to $30 a Square Foot.

Basketweave for the flooring? Available in our Basketweave collection from $8.95 a Square Foot.

Or pick any of the other options from Hexagon to Arabesque The Builder Depot stocks over two hundred different product types of Carrara Marble and over 3 million Square Feet.

I chose this type of tile and the installer said he didn't recommend it for shower floors because it is too porous and not as resilient as porcelain or ceramic. Is this true, not a wise choice? Thanks, Inez.
