Thanks Larsi, I figured that could be the case BUT I fully expect powder Cheer to get the axe at some point..look at all the changes its gone thru throughout the years, as if P$G never could figure out what to do with it. I think its gone thru more changes than any other detergent. With liquids ruling the market I just don't see Cheer with its small bottom shelf spot sticking around too much longer...they should bring back blue Cheer..but you know what they say ...when its gone...its gone.

I wonder if they'll make a smaller size then the 120 load I can only find at Big Lots or Walmart.

That size is just toooooooo huge for my needs.

So when you call there do you just say "Hey it's Larsi, got a quick question for ya" ;-)

At Target today, and the Cheer is still on the shelf (of course, VERY bottom corner), but they had at least 5-6 Huge boxes, and the tag and bar code was still there. I had a clerk scan it for me, and she said it does NOT show discontinued or no longer carried! :)

I'm so happy to spread some Cheer today ;)

I received a response to my inquiry on Facebook that it is not being discontinued but store managers may need pressure to stock it. Either way, if Cheer were a stock, I wouldn't invest in it. LOL

Sad after all these years P$G never decided what they want to do with Cheer..Alex did you know Cheer powder used to be strickly for whites? Blue Cheer Than it was marketed for all water temps, All Temperature Cheer, now its for colors and darks. Sparky probably has info like dates ect that these changes took place. Cheer actually used to be a good selling detergent, I remember when it wasn't hidden in a corner on the bottom shelf. Now its not even treated as well as Gain a MOL detergent. .

Thanks, good to hear! I need to go to WM and pick up another box for my dark clothes. Will probably just use tide for whites & hang ten with the persil perls. They were all sold for half price at my grocery store before I got back. Only managed the 2 boxes of 68 load Tide also, as no HE left when I got there. I don't know what I would do if they ever stop making powder. I detest liquid!

I don't detest liquid detergent, but powders are my choice. I've been using a lot of liquids lately mostly on bedding, I really like Tide with Bleach alternative liquid on sheets, duvet covers, they are smoother yet retain the crisp feel, I don't use FS on bedding. I just have to remember to use a whites detergent once in awhile.

100% agree with our MamaP. I have been almost exclusively using Tide with Bleach Alt. liquid on all beddings. I use Up & Up Spring Bloom softener, since it smells so close to classic April Fresh Downy with this Tide liquid...but I can use a very small amount (1/4 cap...that is so little for me, LOL). The Tide w/Bleach Alt. liquid really leaves all bedding items smooth, yet crisp (like Mama confirms).

I LOVE powders, they will always be my go to detergent...but I think liquids for sure have a place. And, I think we should slowly but continually prepare ourselves and get used to liquids and pods. I genuinely feel in the not far away future, that powders will be joining my Fab 1 shot and Tide bars in the detergent history books :(

I haven't seen Cheer powder on the shelf here (Edmonton AB) in a few years. Even the liquid is hard to find, the only one I've seen lately is the white bottle and I won't buy it again because the smell is awful, very chemical.

It’s so hard to find and I love it’s clean scent and cleaning power! Had to use Tide once and it’s awful scent! Cheap chezzy fragrance! You can smell it on people!!!!!

I think powdered detergents are far better than liquids.
