Leave the appliance handles alone OR pint them gold to match the cabin

Wasn't sure how this was going to turn out and I love the way it did but I'm not sure if I like the chrome hardware on he appliances. Obviously brass was not an option :( would this be a huge mistake and/or disaster to spray paint the appliance handles gold/brass? If so what's a spray paint that most closely matches brushed brass?????

I like the cabinet color and love (& am jealous of) your butcher block counters. Very nice kitchen.

I think it would be easier to just change the cabinet handles. In my opinion, it would be difficult to make everything brass on the appliances so that it looks like you bought it that way. I noticed that the refrigerator has the logo in chrome and the stove has a clock with chrome. Maybe you could introduce some brass in accessories.

It's a high risk move, but I would be tempted to go ahead and paint the appliance handles with e.g. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-11-oz-Metallic-Brass-Spray-Paint-Case-of-6-1936830/202058637 If successful, this would look fantastic! It's absolutely essential to:

1) Mask all surfaces very thoroughly

2) Pretest all your materials and techniques on expendable parts

3) Clean and degrease surfaces in advance
