Should I paint the appliance handles to match the gold/brass cabinet h

Love how this turned out but I'm a little unsure about the appliance handles. Obviously brass was not an option and I'm not sure if it looks right with them being chrome. Would it be a bad idea and a complete disaster to spay paint them gold/brass? Does anyone know of a spray paint that closely resembles brushed brass/gold?
