I need a tough, evergreen, full-sun xeriscape-appropriate plant for a border area that is next to the sidewalk (and a haven for weeds!) Although I can easily plant society garlic (plants in the backyard could use division), can anyone offer suggestions for an easy-to-find native alternative that would be about the same size, preferably a sub-shrub or ground cover?
