Went over the edge...

I had to share this with someone who is a fabric nut. I stumbled onto an estate sale yesterday. The lady was a fabric collector/quilter as well as a furniture re-upholsterer. They were charging $1.50 per piece of quilting fabric. Most pieces were 3 yard cuts. I spent $66.00 yesterday. I went back today and bought a 18X24 box full and running over for $25.00.

There was a quilt kit in the $25.00 box. I'm not sure what size it is, though. I bought a Dresden plate kit for $7.50 yesterday, although it's not marked for size either. They are both calico.

I bought a few pieces of flannel, too. There's a easy flannel quilt I want to make on the cover of a Fons and Porter magazine from this spring.

Now, I have to figure out how I'm going to store all that fabric.

I'm an official quilter now. I have a stash.

Yikes, bkay, what a haul. I am definitely jealous. I had so much fun when my neighbor cleaned out her stash and gifted me with three bags of fabric - many fat quarters and half yard pieces. It really inspired me to start on some scrappy quilts.

BK if you can't find a place to put it, I'm sure I could find a nice place here SOMEWHERE! - WOW what a windfall!

awesome!! you'll have fun sorting what to keep and what to pass on. Are you going to wash n dry it all before storing?? I think I'm a lil jealous! lol

Congratulations...you are an official fabric collector! The hard part comes when it's time to cut your goodies. Great deal though...you probably have ten times the value you paid ... Awesome!!!
