My Adeniums photo thread

I have at least 50 Adeniums in my collection. All have been grown as bonsai subjects. Some have needed more training than others. I'll post a few pictures each week. First up are some Adenium arabicum that I have not posted photos of yet.

Adenium arabicum is easy to train, as it mostly involves moving branches slightly to open up the canopy in most cases. This one so far only needed two branches moved.

This one was a little more complicated. It needed more wiring and some pruning to get the desired umbrella like canopy.

Wow Harry! So nice. I agree with Stuart, this last one is definitely a favorite. I love the shape you have given the subject. Makes me want to wire some trees! Thanks for sharing Harry. So good to see you again. Would love to see this beauty when she blooms!

Harry pic 2 is interesting, I wanted to see closer up at the base and caudex is that possible?

Tracy, thanks. I'll make sure to post pictures when it blooms. My broom style A. arabicum, that I posted in another thread is developing buds, so I'll take pictures of that one also when it flowers.

Marcia, thanks. I use aluminum bonsai wire. I'll get a close up of the caudex of #2 this week.

Elena, thanks. I'm going to try to take and post photos weekly, but you'll have to excuse the quality of the photos, because as a photographer I'm not talented at all.

Harry, very nice trees indeed - despite the yellow tint of the photos ;-) (The white balance of your photos is quite off. White is not white but yellow. Your camera does not do well in dimly lit surroundings. Therefore you should use a flash or try taking photos in daylight, outside or near a large window. This will really capture the beauty of your trees).

Martin, thanks for the photography advice. I'm really terrible at taking pictures, so I do appreciate any advice. I should be putting my plants outdoors soon, so hopefully that will take care of the yellow quality of the photos. Thanks again.
