There are only 2, and you are correct, they are little sconces with 2 alights in eachWe are at max lighting, and the led small base fixture bulbs won't fit under the shades. House is Mediterranean with lots of wood beams, iron, plaster columns inside- traditional, so I think the lighting is too modern looking. There are only 2 lights...picture angle makes them not look symmetrical, but they are. Based on the hole in the mirror, I thought maybe I could get some 3 or 4 bulb fixtures on a long escutcheon plate that would cover the wiring, but don't know how I'd attach the opposite ends?

I would work with a lighting expert. People often buy a light for it's look rather than it's lumens produced. It looks like you also have some recessed in the top soffit. Is this correct? If so perhaps that would be a better way to change the lighting capability. Also along the wall area to the left & right of the mirror.

Look for fixtures similar to these that have two downward directed lights. Some similar fixtures with the lights directed upward can actually be installed with the lights going downward, so keep that in mind.

Unfortunately the lights are centered on the mirror, yet the sinks are on the outsides. The spotlights do nothing! Ufh...need a solution without replacing mirror.

It would be helpful if you could show us a photo taken from the front, instead of at an angle.
