Ugh! Lost Multiflora again!

Lost again even though it was in my cart! So unfair. How does that happen? Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be.

I will get my hands on one eventually. lol

I keep getting outbid on H. glabra, I feel your pain!

    Frustrating isn't it?!

Probably for the best. Hmmm, I might be able to help with the multiflora thing, if you would settle for a good sized javanica instead? I can often get them locally for about $20. I can keep an eye out, shipping would be about $15, maybe a bit less but it would take a big box. I sent Tawny one earlier this season.

Monica, she sent me a huge multiflora! HUGE. I compared flowers yesterday, so def a multiflora. I think. lol

I have made an ID on the flowers using that comparison bloom photo that I cannot find at the moment, it is javanica. Though, I bought yours and mine at different times Tawny, so who knows. At the end of the day, they look identical unless you are really examining the flowers. And mine just keeps on putting out growth and flowers for me nearly constantly. It is a great plant!

Monica, I can check out that nursery this weekend if you like. If I find one, I can buy it and take photos and we can figure out how you want to pay for it. And if you decide you do not want it, I can always trade it out or ebay the thing.

Just have to cross my fingers and hope they do not have any new Nepenthes in or I will be in trouble, ahahhaha.

OK, am I reading this right- someone took the plant out of your cart? WHO does that??? (Reminds me of what happened with beanie babies. )

lol - I guess having an item in your cart doesn't "save it" until you go through the payment process. I guess it just wasn't meant to be for me.

Thanks so much Kim. Let me double check to see if I already have Javanica.

    Kim,

I would be interested in a Javanica too.

I have a Multiflora that is doing really well but the buds get to the pointy stage and then they all fall off.

Is javanica any easier to flower? I had read that it was but have no personal experience.

    Thank you!

Janice, I have not grown multiflora myself. Javanica has been pretty stable for me once the buds hit the pointy stage, as long as it is getting the right amounts of light and water, and not too cold.

It flowers nearly constantly for me.

Kim, would you be willing to get one for me if you find any locally?

    Thanks!

Sure! Send me a message on here, and I can take a look this weekend and see if I can spot any.

That would be great but don't go to any extra trouble for me.

If you do find a plant may I pay you with a USPS money order as I don't use PayPal yet?

Sure, and it isn't much trouble. Do have to take the bus at the moment, but will make it work. And I suppose, gives me an excuse to scout for Nepenthes and see what they may have. Lets just wait until I manage to get my hands on one before you worry about sending out payment. I will let you know when I find a nice one!

I have one Monica you can have.I live off Duraleigh rd. We could meet somewhere to avoid postal hassle...maybe like a wine or beer bar!lol Bring DH as well..we can all talk about hoyas! HAHA! I also have a small rooted H. vitiensis if you want it... its on SRQ's retired list

Wow, thanks Jimmy! I must be dense because I didn't realize you live in Raleigh too. I live off Durant Rd. in North Raleigh. I'm very close to Homewood Nursery and Atlantic Ave Orchid Nursery. I prefer Homewood as they have a one year warranty on their plants. I returned a Meyer lemon tree that just did not winter well and they refunded my money no questions asked they just wanted the dead plant back.

I'd love to get together some time and talk about Hoyas. It's nice to know someone else in the area shares the passion (as my husband - not so much lol)

Im sure I don't have any Hoyas to trade with you yet but I could get you some BATS and Rose and Flower if you're interested.

Thanks...I use something stronger then BATS...(Dominion) Something for mites would be nice!(usually use a bug bomb! lol) .We can figure something out.My email is glassmaster_1@hotmail.com Shoot me an email and well make arrangements for your hoyas!

Okay, maybe i can get you some Bayer Forbid (it's called Oberon on the crop side). It's a professional product so you can't buy it at a nursery or big box store. Sometimes 3rd party sellers will sell it on eBay or Amazon. A little goes a looooong way.

I can also get some straight imidacloprid (professional stuff)

    Thanks. I'll email you.

OK..sounds good! Forbid sounds pretty interesting! Temprid is similar to Dominion I use. It just has imidacloprid in it(21% as well) so it can be used as a soil drench.Temprid is just for a foliage spray right?looks like it has another insecticide in it as well?
