Help with entry way please
A couple of photos attached are of my entry way which has double doors with side lights. The entry table with mirror sits directly across from the settee. Still in need of artwork over the settee (ignore the orange pillow on the grey blue settee- I moved it to a diff room) and a rug. I will also post a pic of the living room that is directly across which is also a work in progress too.
Need a rug in living room too. I have some ideas but can't seem to pull the trigger.

I would 86 the topiaries & calla lilies................dated and not up to the level of sophistication of your space.

10 years agoGreat pieces to work with, and multiple possibilities for reworking the arrangement from time to time. Is the piece behind the sofa a credenza or a sofa table? Is it open below? If so, I think it would be better in the foyer; somehow the bowlegged sofa table seems in conflict with the geometry of the mirror and hassocks.The mirror and hassocks could move to the vignette behind the sofa. It appears that your French door is going to be difficult to open with the sofa right there. Consider moving the bowlegged table there and flanking with the two chairs which echo its curve in their fabric pattern, in effect, consolidating the curvy items opposite the angular ones. Place the sofa to face the French doors with its back to the opening on the left. Use the glass table as an end table with it. A few thoughts on rugs, mostly based on rose or taupe...
