Back Brace/Support for Gardening?

I have two degenerative discs in my lower spine. Standing for long periods, using a chainsaw, carrying bags of soil, etc. leaves me stooped over at the end of the day and in pain. Does anyone have a recommendation on something I can use that will help out in providing some support?

TIA

Google lumbar support. There are many types to choose from. Your situation sounds just like mine. I have had to learn just how much I can do at a time and how to adjust how I do things. I limit the time I do a task, do it in short sessions and come back later to work some more on it. When doing things like weeding I do it on my knees, cannot bend over without pain. Heavy bags of planing mix I use a 2-wheel hand truck or wheelbarrow. I do not carry them myself. An icepack at the end of a work session helps me. If a task is too large, get help.

Time Brings A Change! I was about to use my drill to crank my MTD
Self Propel Mower that I use 1-2 times a seasons. After I drilled the rivets out to rem the
recoil starter, “a Light Came On”. I’ll
use some self tapping screws to put the recoil starter back on today.

I’ll Change out the "Treated" fuel and
manually prime and it should go 1-2 pulls.
Or I’ll Get My Young Help. He
started it last season manually primed and 3 pulls. He has owed me 18.00 Dollars since that
day. I promised I w/n use him until he
pays. I re-thought that! I’ll let him work that off which he was to do
a year ago. The funny part is that I see him weekly “walking 2 mi 5 week days. We speak and talk and I’ll help him if needed
    10 houses away.

I have a 21” Murray that starts 1st pull and
the MTD would I f I would use it weekly.
Once it starts it feels like it has a compression release the remainder
of that use. I have not figured that out
yet. It’s a backup to my Murray
on my small :30 minute cut. I feel my Arms,
Shoulders and Back are shot from manually splitting Firewood approx 35 years. I thought was fun and no harm until my mid
60s. The same young man would split what Pecan I c/n split. I cut it into blocks after 2 swings, until
I was given the World’s Best Splitter.
Well Discuss Principles “AGAIN” which is my issue vs 18.00.

I started my Back-Up 21 “ MTD used to collect leaves with a
drill due to slow starting after a year.

After watching 2-3 Youtubes on using a drill to start a mower, I
decided to try that method with some modifying then and some to come. Plus, “no
    Kickback History”.

    1. I used a ½ “ drill set on low of two speeds. With a 5” section of Rota Rooter cable “Pressed
connecting in ½” socket Matching flywheel’s nut, to turn engine and to protect
from kickbacks. The spring could not
    take the reversed torque.

    2. I used a socket with a 3/8’’Dia bolt, Sq head “Ground” to fit
and turn the ½” socket matching flywheel’s nut.

    3. A future mod will be to run a bolt through the socket, locked
with a nut allowing me to turn the flywheel and remove the socket attached to
    the drill. “Completed”!
