Ripped leaves off a bulb

My amaryllis have finished blooming and thought I would transplant some from my overcrowded pot. So naturally I tried to pull the bulb out by pulling it up like an onion. That was a terrible mistake as I ended up pulling off all the leaves.

Is the bulb going to be ok? The bulb now looks like someone cut off the leaves and was going to store it for winter (I'm in Southern California so I don't do this as they stay green year round). I'm worried about the bulb drying out with open "wounds" like that. Is there any hope it'll bloom next year ?
