I like it, too! It reminds me of what a quilt used to be - before we all got rich and started buying fabric specifically for a quilt!!!! ...a lil of Grannie's dress here, some of the curtains there....a snip of the tablecloth...you know....

Beth, That was my aim....I glad you recognized it.......plus using up those bits and pieces of fabric. Donna, Thank you. Putting the right fabric together was part of the process for me. I wanted it to blend together but still be different. I didn't quite make it on some of the blocks, but, oh well. Lois, Dynamo? Thanks for the link. Did you do the units as 4" unfinished....as shown in the tute?

I have a lot of 2.5" squares separated by color family. I think I could get the same effect as I have solids and florals/graphics that would give the effect of blending but different. I need to check but pretty sure I have enough to make a nice wall hanging.

Yes, I used 4" unfinished...makes a good size block. In actuality, any size would work. Depends on what you have available. I cut the strips at 4"x16 1/2".......not so much waste.
