Now I wouldn't bury it much. If you look at pictures, the truck is always above soil line.

Thank you, I did end up re-potting this clivia, I kept the old plant at the same depth, but re-potted some of the young ones in a separate pot with the leaves at soil level. Both are doing very good now that they have some room for all their roots.
