Our lavender won't be blooming for another few months. Usually in early to mid July. Very pretty pictures : )

Thank you. I don't know how much water will cause it to rot, but we get rained on several times a week, and almost non stop for 6 weeks in June but the lavender never seems to mind much. my fence on the other hand didn't handle the water so well.

July seems so far and away! You must live in a pretty harsh winter zone.

Yes, we live in zone 4...it gets down to 27 below zero (F) some winters.

So, last frost date is about June 1. But right now the apple trees are blooming and it's beautiful : )

Lavender does fine in the UK climate and we get plenty of rain. It isn't rain per se which is the problem. It is drainage.

We have Hidcote lavender, which is English....and they don't mind all the water I dump on them, with the roses : )

Lavender grows great here and we get a ridiculous amount of rain. I just grow mine on a steep slope so it drains well. No flowers yet though!
