Interior Dryer. Venting Essentials?

last modified: 10 years ago

When I originally assisted in designing this home (which was prior to finding GW, btw), the plan had a laundry room off the kitchen.

My plumber suggested I put the laundry (washer and dryer) in the guest bath, as there would be plenty of room. Thus, I turned the original space into a pantry, which was actually far better for my extra stand-alone freezer needs, too.

I have no issues with the current location, logistically -- BUT -- I want to make sure that the dryer is vented most efficiently since it is now laid against an interior wall. Best routes and info for dryer vent clean-out and related procedures, and so forth. How to vent out, and should I hire someone for periodic cleanout on top of my roof? (I personally WON'T be standing on top of my roof... Ever...)
