Looking for advice and possible help with a foundation problem. I have a small cottage that has a 'Cape Cod' basement - meaning a huge hole that has been dug out by previous owner. You can actually stand up under the house to see the pipes and foundation. In the past year, the sand has settled and caved in a bit around the bulkhead entrance, resulting in a collapse of about 4 of the concrete cinder blocks of the foundation . I have a ladder under the blocks because they wedged by a water outflow pipe (will probably be replaced with the new septic) and if they fall they will damage a water inflow pipe on ground level. Hence..they have to go.

This is primarily because more than 25 years ago the previous owner cut the foundation to make an entryway under the house. Never had a problem until now. I need a quick fix - removing the fractured blocks and installing one or two jacks under the foundation. Reason is I am planning to install a septic and do some house renovations starting end of this year into next, so don't want to do extensive foundation work until then.
