So I've been reading up on dormant seeding and have a few questions. I understand the seeds will remain dormant until the snow melts, but what happens when the temperatures hit germination temp during day but freezes during night? Doesn't that kill the seedlings?

The main reason for my question is that I recently planted grass, then magically the weather forcast went from perfect to dropping to 28-38 degrees every night for a few days. Im just worried all the seeds died. Figured dormant seeding research would help me understand whats going on.
