Same kitchen new colors

We got granite counters, so we had our cabinets refinished to a dark color to set them off better. We changed the paint color to tie it all in and it feels like a new kitchen.

Cabinets and granite look great together. Did you reface or refinish the cabinets?

Hi, looks awesome....I'm looking to do the same thing with my cabinets. I have a post on here asking about the color to stain them. Can you please tell me how you went about chaning your cabinets. qtbern1@yahoo.com

It was much less expensive to stain them than to reface or replace. I asked my painter what color he used and this is all he said, "It's difficult to explain, because of how I approach the staining process. I don't use traditional stains I blend colors, solvents, and resins to make my stains for a multi layers effect that not only looks great but is super durable. It's kind of like gramma soup, difficult to pin down exact recipe."

We gave the painter a sample of the White Spring granite we liked and he stained two doors different colors that picked up shades in the granite. We chose the darkest because the other was too red for our taste.
