Another sick bulb

Red Blotch has affected all of my many bulbs. This is one of the worst. I peeled the outer, dry, layers and then proceeded to peel away layers until I got clean, white layers. I got so far down that I exposed this scape emerging. I then soaked the bulb in a bleach solution for 20 minutes, dried it, shaved the basal plate, applied rooting hormone, then potted. I think this one may end up in the trash. We'll see.

Survive! recovered worse these bulbs. Keep in a warm, bright room.

Provide it with heat from below. Substrate temperature of up to 28Celsius will further healing and the formation of new roots.

I certainly wouldn't give up on this so soon, I've had much worse too. Make sure that the basal plate is totally dry (might take a week) after the shaving and just sit it on top of some lightly dampened soil so you can watch to see if it will root. Good luck.

Don't give up! You may lose these flowers but the bulb should survive if you keep it rather dry and warm. Good luck!
