You can use it as it is - the bedding looks more green than blue-green to me. If the photo didn't do it justice, then go blue green gray . . something like Knoxville gray .. ben moore color . .that will work and then you can chalk paint one of the white pieces in a mid tone celedon gray to go along and give you contrast. Have you put the whole room together and lived with it for while? A good friend of mine once told me to give a room time, the house will tell you what to do. If you love the metal, use it by all means. I don't think your grouping will end up looking childish. It may look feminine, as opposed to masculine, but either way, if you love it and it feels good to you, it is a beautiful room.

I like the headboard. Instead of chalk paint perhaps you could spray paint it a metallic champagne color. I think you have enough chalk paint. Try something different.

Black would coordinate well with silver hardware.

Since removing the headboard from behind the bed, I love how open it feels. The darker just weighed down the room to much. I will definitely go with a lighter color.
