A beautiful plant, vitorama! I was similarly lucky with a local grower where I live. I got 2 Boncels. One is mature, and it cost me $40. It was a splurge. The other is much younger and not nearly as big, but it has three separate plants growing up. That was only $20. I snagged them both, feeling lucky to find them. Not much happened for the first few months, but in April and May both started to grow a little; even the mature one has a whole new leaf that is pretty large. Congrats -- these are hard to find "in person" with local growers. Hope you enjoy your Boncel to the max.

I got two of these from the Union Square Farmer's Market at $15.00 each. To show size/scale, I placed them in front of a gallon jug of Arizona iced tea

So, I went to a nursery about 25 miles away to see if they had a boncell. They didn't, but I did find a whitney with extra wide margins and a pot full of Fernwood. Not bad for a small nursery.

I've been seeing Fernwood for sale all over the place for a few weeks now. At first I didn't like it, but now it's growing on me.
