Hello Alexander, thank you for the question. The finish is called cerused. Basically this involves staining the solid oak and then applying a white lime wax. The wax is wiped off the surface but some of it stays inside the grain producing the stunning aesthetic appeal. The whole thing is covered in a super hard polyurethane clear coat to protect the wood from liquid damage.

If you have a different finish preference we can provide nearly any custom finish you desire.

    I hope that helps!

Can I pay you to do a 32" hex table top? I love the finish, but this sounds like a process out of my skill set.

I can do a custom table top for you. I'm not sure how we can do it through Houzz though. Houzz policy prevents me from giving you any contact information. Let me send them an email to find out how.
