I planted three Lyrical Blues early last summer. In typical newbie fashion, I put them too close together. Here is what they looked like by the end of summer:

They are now coming up and I can tell they (and the sedum) are going to be even bigger than last year. The two sedum in the behind them to the left are getting huge too.

Should I thin out the salvia or thin out the sedum? Or both? Can I just shovel prune them?
