Can I ask why your front door is not centered under the arch?

I would have the size of the window box match the size of the window.

I agree on the door, it needs centered and also needs to be larger. Flower boxes would be a nice touch. But I would focus on the door first

Match them to the window size. Add some red ivy geranium which will trail and spill...so pretty.

If you don't want the trouble and expense of moving the door, you may want to consider a nice bench with some kind of wall decor above it to fill in that space. Add some potted plants too.

Buy or have a planter made that matches the window boxes. Put it beside the door to balance out the porch area.

Thank you all for your coents on the door. We are in the process of remodeling. The porch was added as well as Windows that have same center piece to help offset house not being balanced. Our idea is to add a bench, wall arll art and black flower urns to porch area. So, back to the window boxes - run the entire length of both worlds does (which are two different sizes) or focus in the sqaure "plus" area and do boxes that run under that?

Absolutely they should be same width as window. I have a double window on one side of my door and single on other. I have a 6' box under double and 3' under single. Those are standard sizes you may have to have some custom mademade

The bench, wall art and planters mentioned will make a big difference with the off-center door. Those items and the window boxes will be great.

I love window boxes too. But your windows are too close to the ground to get that affect. I'd concentrate on cutting out an irregular shaped bed on both sides and plantings. Since door is too small, either enlarge it and add planter with high element next to it or center with larger door.

Judy, I thought about the windows being closer to the ground, too. Then I thought about a friend's house with low-ish windows with window boxes and it seems to work nicely. This is not my friend's home, but it's something similar to this photo.
