My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Did you use an oil based paint and it appears flat, is it? Did you Polyurethane over it?

    So sorry, I meant to also ask if you painted on unfinished wood or poly coated wood? If poly did you sand and prime? Forgot those details :-)

    Unfinished wood (pine). This floor "failed" to a certain degree because we wanted the top layer to wear off and expose bits of the pale-blue under layer.
