I suggest going to the website of your favorite big-box store and reading reviews. You'll be able to see what specific things people have liked or hated, so that you'll know whether you're likely to feel the same way.

Stylewise, a once piece toilet, or a very fitted two piece like the Kohler Persuade. Totally smooth skirt gives not only a nice look, but reduces cleaning time. Low flow, dual flush to save water. Check out Terry Love's recommendations: http://www.terrylove.com/crtoilet.htm

Just installed a Toto. Install was easy and the product is great. Dual action flushing (think its a patented system), helps keep the bowl clean. The one piece and comfort height are musts. This toilet takes up less space than my last one and looks nice, for what it is...;)

As an aside, my brother, who is a master plumber, has put this brand in his own home, in all the bathrooms and wouldn't go with anything else.
