I love the items in your room - however, I don't like the rug with the toss cushions - they don't compliment at all - I would either get rid of the toss cushions or replace the area rug.

Below - shown are area rugs that are more appropriate for the toss cushions, and then
toss cushions that are more appropriate for the area rug - this will help tie in the space better
and make it feel more cohesive.

Choose between the two:
For the pink-green scheme, I'd paint your walls a soft olive green tone.

for the brown-gray scheme, I'd paint your walls a brown-gray tone.
