Does dark plaster last?

I really want a darker blue pool. Our quote contains diamond brite plaster. They have lots darker colors I like but after reading some forums I am worried about discoloration and fading. Should I be? is there a different brand of plaster that don't discolor or do they all???

My experience is that solid color plasters with darker pigment will show wear earlier than patterns of mixed color aggregate. Also your ability to maintain proper water chemistry values with have everything to do with how long your plaster lasts for.

So, does this mean that pebble tech would last a lot longer than diamond brite?
