African Violets that ships to Canada

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows a few websites that sells African Violets and ships to Canada at a reasonable price. The ones that I have are from Walmart, Home Depot, and a few nurseries. The ones that I have seen are very similar/ the same. They are either solid colours ( light/hot pink, purple, white) or white with pink/purple edges. I have seen pictures and videos of other people's African Violets and am very jealous. I tried searching on the internet but they do not ship to Canada/ way too expensive. Thank you in advance.

I tell you - there are so many nice AVs hybridized in Canada. Even Canadian big commercial growers - Harsters Greenhouses provide big box stores with excellent plants. There are Canadian Vendors, that do not ship to States.

What about the sellers on EBAY? I am sure you will pay far more than they are worth,,,,,but I know a lot of them ship internationally. Rosie

Tina Drouin has an online shop called Bloomlovers. I believe she's located in Quebec. I live in AB and I have ordered from her quite often. (I just need to put my orders in when it's warm, so they don't freeze during shipping.) She has a great selection (especially early in the season), and sells both leaves and some plugs. Thank you for the all the suggestions. I think shipping is a bit steep. It says its $22 on the bloomlovers website to ship it where I live. Also on eBay it is a bit pricey. I however did get to find some at a nursery that is not too far away.

Yes, it is pricey shipping... so I make sure I have a large order to justify it. How's that for enabling myself??? :)

I am so with Linda. Generally - you get what you pay for. SInce you already have as many plants from Walmart as you ever wanted - and ready to try something really fancy - get ready to shell some $$.

If we ship inside US - we can get away with first class shipping. We ship to Canada - Priority becomes very expensive - and First class takes 8-10 days - not everything will survive it.

Think what varieties you want, how many plants you want, bite the bullet and order them. Bloomlovers is a high quality source. And if you order 12 starters - the price of shipping will be thinly spread between them. (The more you buy - the more you save ;-)).
