I am not sure, curious to see what others have to say. My own is similar in a way, and I have been wondering the same thing. If I find anything out before the others chime in I will let you know.

Check roots! Looks like mine when they are dehydrated. Or rotting. Or sunburned. Did it come from FL? I recently obtained one from Jan that looked like that. I do not blame her; it is fine now, but I think it suffered climate change shock! Could be anything, really. Just rule each thing out one by one.

Thank you. Yes, it did come from FL Gardinos in fact. After a day, I put it in a south facing window as I didn't know any better. I have a cutting that's not as bad but is also getting some tiny yellow spots (almost a little chlorotic looking). So it must be from the sun as its not rooted yet. Should I put it in the shade for a couple days? Thanks.

root rot. I'd cut off all the roots and restart. Just saying that this is what I would do.

Sorry to hijack Monica, but now I am doubly curious about my own australis sp australis. I just checked the roots, mine are white and healthy but some of the leaves look a bit chlorotic. New growth is coming in fine. It is in a west window, off to the side but in the path of light, and I mist plants around it but try not to hit this plant much with mist (not sure if fuzzy leaved Hoya like that).

It could have been mite damage, but I have never seen webbing or other signs of the monsters on this. And recently it was treated as a precaution (looked like this before). If not that, I am thinking either sun or mineral issues. Pretty broad list hey? Would appreciate any input.

If older growth is chlorotic and the roots look good, it might just be that leaves are getting old and ready to die. If new growth is coming in nice, I would not worry too much. But, keep an eye out for decline.

Australis ssp. australis, australis ssp. rupicola and australis ssp. oramicola are all more succulent hoya types, and as such, should be watered infrequently (although, ssp. australis is not as succulent, so it may need more frequent waterings). I don't have ssp. australis or ssp. rupicola, but I do have ssp. oramicola, and I only water it once or twice a month.

Come to think of it .....I did spray my Australis. Oops, I guess I shouldn't have.
