Blood meal is usually high in Nitrogen (maybe nothing but nitrogen ). which is good for foiliage.

Tomato plant needs "P" and "K" also.

Unless you are "organic grower" , I will suggest some synthetic tomato fertilizer like MG water soluble. Or they have also liquid version in 32oz bottles.

Trying to add things to offset excess nitrogen isn't really a good idea. You could do more harm than good. Best thing is to just wait and let nature take its course.

Thanks a lot. I just thought if I added some p it would help them in the blooming process. Its been a couple weeks since I gave them any nitrogen so I hope whatever damage is done. One thing is for sure I won't be top dressing with blood meal anymore. Maybe just mixing it in the bed while am mending it for next year.

Bone meal is very slow acting anyway. it would be next year before you saw any effect. If you are a strictly organic grower there are much better things to use than either blood meal or bone meal.

Such as...better things to use? Have you looked at any of the hundreds of great organic nutrient supplements available? Things that actually work and do it without harming the plants. They come in both liquid and granular forms. Things like fish emulsion, kelp and seaweed blends, humic acid, Espoma Tomato fertilizers, Fox Farm products, alfalfa and cottonseed meals, Biomarine, Earth Juice products, etc. just to name a few. Just Google 'organic fertilizers'.

Yes, there are a lot of organic fertilizers , if you are willing to pay the price. I have heard these names a lot : Neptune ,,, Tomato Tone , Plant Tone, ... Jobs .. Dr ..(something ??) , Alaska (products ) ...
