I personally like the bottom, it has a lot of movements and colors, will you be using these exact pieces? I do like the top one as well, but would be curious if another piece had more veins in it.

I like the bottom too but am not sure if it will look too busy with all the movement. I don't want it to look messy but don't want to settle for something because I'm unsure about the other. This is our kitchen. Still waiting on the rest of the cabinets. thoughts??

You could always do 2 different styles. The busier one on the island and the other on the rest.

Definitely don't mix them. Ok to go with a solid black or other solid on island but not a combination of these two. Sorry, posting from my personal account rather than pro account but we are a tile and stone design and installation firm. Just my advice. Good luck!

I just did my kitchen and I had same choices. I chose colonial white with white cabinets and light gray walls.

Have you considered Quartz ? We had granite installed and see lot of staining and discolaration...we have replaced it with quartz recently
