I want to create my own concrete countertops on this kitchen in our basement. There is no sink or cut outs but I do want to carry the countertop over the left cabinet to the wall to the left of the dehumidifier. Any suggestions? I was going to use bags of concrete (sakcrete 5000). Has anyone done this themselves and have any pointers? I was probably going to cast in place because I do not want seams and there are a lot of angles to work with. Any special stains to use? I was thinking some type of topical stain to show different shades of color.
