Mine is an EA plant and it looks more like your second photo. I have a feeling that Chelsea is not a stable cultivar. That's just my best guess... But I might also wonder if it's a matter of how much light it's getting. Maybe it keeps the concave leaves in higher light? In the first photo, the leaves are a light green like they've been growing in strong light, whereas the second one shows deep green leaves which is an indicator of a shady position or bright indirect light.
Maybe light? But I have mine in a very sheltered East window and mine is about mid range of both these photos, in color and shape. Either that or just differences in clones.
I'm starting to think it's a different clone. The leaves are so dark and don't look that green to me. They are almost more purple/brown, kinda round in shape and most leaves have no dimples. Almost like a very dark Motoskei.
I tend to think these are different clones, too. Mine is a dimpled one, from Joni. But I've seen the flat leaved / dull green / more boring ones (sorry, Denise :-( ) at big box stores before, from Exotic Angel.
