will it make it

i have a cutting that got pulled out of sand and it has calloused and had a root on it but the root had broken off i immediately put it back in the most sand as soon as it came out will it make it. its the only cutting i was able to get off the rose and dont want to loose it

I am not a master rooter, but just hang with it! Can't hurt to try. I usually just stick cuttings in potting soil and cross my fingers. Only lost 4 out of 20 something cuttings and that was because they rotted. That particular pot was not far enough under the eaves of the house and got flooded. I actually have new growth on the rest of them. Have moved them to dappled shade and just hoping for the best! I have read a lot of post in the forums about rooting techniques and I am so impressed with what they accomplish. I do have to add that my cuttings are for roses that tend to root easy! Lol

so far its doing ok no wilting of the new growth i will just leave it a while longer than the other cuttings
