I think a modern/contemporary table would be the way to go instead of a heavy wood type. The chairs look light n maybe a glass table that's colored either the white u want or even black. I have this but both r in black (table n chairs) I wanted to do both black n white but was afraid it may not match the white cabinets. There r soo many different whites out now! Just makes it harder to choose. My kit floors r also a brown/grey wood look - painted the walls a gray n then added a gray mix glass pcs that also has marble pieces for the backsplash (which really made the room pop) n it all looks really nice together. I'm happy. :)

Have fun n go with what makes you happy!

I don't know how modern your beachy style goes in the entire space? Seems several options, even black if you have beach-brights like red, and simple shapes. I typed 'black white beach' and so could use black/white beach photo, so then a black table could look good. etc.. with 1 accent color --- have you painted the walls???

make sure its easy care. nothing that will get scratched from errant sand, or surfaces that get marred by pollen stains.

LIke this one - if you place a grouping of oars or beachy things especially in rough/distressed condition, then black and white could be a nice background.
