Wow! Great work with many beautiful finishes. Was the living room remodeled into the kitchen? or an addition to it? Love the cabinentry!! And out of seaweed!?? AMAZING job well done!

Thank you! The cabinetry was a painstaking job with the doors and drawers having to fit within 1/8" margin. Yes, the cabinet "glass" is actually a resin made from 40% recycled content and real seaweed from 3form ( http://www.3-form.com/materials/varia_ecoresin/organics/seaweed/).

The front wing of the house was originally an open living room. The conversion into a new kitchen required the removal of that stone fireplace and its adjacent windows. The owner decided she wanted one window in the center of that vaulted wall because she loved the view so much when the fireplace was demo'ed.

I know what you're thinking...kitchen hood in front of a window? We had to use some very creative ductwork!

Wow! What a transformation - thank you so much for sharing. Creative behind the scenes work for sure with that kitchen hood and window, but you made it look beautiful.

how much space is there between the table/chairs and the fridge? Perhaps it is just the camera angle, but looks like very little clearance.

    littlemissmama,

The cork flooring is Nova Cork in Comprido Sand ( http://novafloorings.com). You really must see it in person, the texture and color is beautiful. Not to mention it's eco-friendly and sound-resistant!
