My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

New Construction LED housing for retrofit LED interchangeable?

As part of a major remodel, we are planning to install recessed lighting throughout the house. Mostly 4" and a few 6" ones. We don't want to go E-base but instead dedicated LED. I have found a Halo housing H995ICAT that is reasonable priced, but is the LED connector inside of it compatible with all the other manufacturer's LED retrofit modules, such as Cree, Juno, Lithonia, etc.?

I don't want to be stuck with just the Halo RL4 module.

The same is true for the 6" lights we are planning to install.

BTW: Housing needs to be rated air tight, for use in contact with insulation, and can't be higher than 6", since we only have 6" joists.
