Puzzle time

Walking to a meeting last night I passed a new shrub for me. It was tumbling over a garden wall about 10 feet tall and lax habit. Tiny leaves and very fragrant, little pink flowers. British Isles temperate maritime climate with ample rain. But I have found out that is is hardy on the severest continental climates. Deciduous. I have discovered what it is. Anyone want to have a go at an id? Forgive my rudimentary photographic skills. My eyesight is awful and I can't tell when things are in focus.

    the flowers look a bit reminiscent of lilac ... but that a 5 cents will get you a nickle ... sorry.. dont know brit money ....
