Smaller bamboo suggestions

I am looking to semi enclose one side of my yard. On the front fence line inside I am going to plant my three plumeria trees and between their spacing I want to put two shorter bamboos. I'd prefer finding one that wouldn't be too thick in it's clumps and have a more of an upright statue like regular bamboo, tho I know that may be hard to find. The ones I've found that are readily available and proven to do good in my area are Fernleaf, Golden Goddess, Richard Waldron, RG Dwarf, and Dwarf Buddha Belly.

For those who may have grown these types, which would you consider less "bushy" and not so tall they would make my small one story house look even smaller? Appreciate any advice y'all can give me.

The golden goddess will grow more upright than the fernleaf but it will also grow taller but you can trim the taller culms to any height you want them and they will never grow any taller. Dwarf BB may be too bushy for your needs.

A fargesia might be a good choice.They are about the size you want and they clump,but don't spread by rhizomes.

There are 1 or 2 in the Thamnocalamus group that might be just what you are looking for. Bamboo Headquarters in So Cal used to carry them. Most Fargesias drape over rather than grow upright. Golden Goddess is not a tight clumper. If you are willing to use bamboo barrier then you can keep it however small of an area you want and grow any type. I have several running types in circles of barrier to keep them contained.
