Buying and Selling Homes

Closing date pushed back

My husband and I just sold our condo and found out dream home. We were suppose to close on both last week. Well our closing for the condo went through and the home got pushed back. We are now homeless. Apparently the underwriters did not like some wording about the comps and the appraiser had to change it. Well the underwriters STILL don't like something about the appraisal and now the appraisers are refusing to fix it!... How is this possible?! Has anyone come across this? Is there anything we can do?

Be more specific with what it is that the underwriters do not like and you may get some better advice.

Sounds like a huge communication issue ... you shouldn't have closed on your condo until you could also close on your dream home ... your Realtor should have helped coordinate the closings.

And call your LO or his Manager, and get them to do something about the appraisal. Start yelling loudly!

This is where you get aggressive. Tell them to get it done NOW and do not back down. There is no excuse pretty much ever to miss a closing.
