I would use soapy water to wipe them off. I use systemic bug killer. But others use different things. So hopefully they will chime in. I then don't have to deal with spider mites or aphids in my house during the winter.

Can we see the whole tree? How old is it? Has it bloomed for you?

I like Tracy's idea. Cut down, wash off and let it grows with new leaves.

I agree it looks kind of leggy. and should more branches if you cut it back. Would make it look fuller good luck

What does the whole plant look like, you may get some good advice on where to prune to shape it better, and get rid of those pests at the same time.

Hi Lisa. Depending entirely on my aesthetic preference, I will cut every branch down to within about two inches of their growth points on the stem. except I will keep that branching one and instead but down those two growing from it.

Then as Tracy recommended, unpotted, bathe thoroughly then spray with neem. Keep it in the shade and out of the pot overnight. Repeat once. Change the soil. Then pot back up. Plants actually take up neem when watered with a dilute solution. I found this out while tracking down some woowoo.

Hm. Looking at that closely, it's not a Y-branch is it? Those are two separate branches?

nice caudex. Thanks for the pic. I also think that cutting the branches It is all in the look you want. I would cut the two just above the Y . I think I would then cut the other branch at the same height as the Y branch. Slightly on a slant. Should fill in really nice. Don't fret about leaving it unplanted for a night they are hardy trees. Some have left them out for weeks. It is to let the sap heal over before planting. Lets us know how it looks. We all like pics. Even pics of the roots. We can tell the health by the way the roots look.

I would still wash it with soapy water. We all use different products but they all seem to work.

It will be such a nice shape when it comes back. Leave it out of the sun for 3 to 5 after you plant it. It will give it a chance to adjust. remember it is a succulent so it doesn't need a lot of water so don't make the soil soggy. I can't tell by the pic what soil you have it in. These need a soil that is quick draining. If you need advice on that reach Gritty soil a lot of us use a variation on that.

I love Pagan's idea of leaving it unpotted and treating it a second time. It will save you another drastic round later on since if you don't kill the eggs and larvae too, they will just return as adults rather fast and you will have them again. Let us know how it turns out.
