It could. A lot of pruning group 2's will have a rebloom later in summer. But that looks like a very small container to keep a clem happy for very long. I'd consider planting it in the ground. Or at the very least, replanting in a much larger container.

I agree with ggal. It looks like it may still be in the pot in which it was sold. That is meant to be temporary. I suggest a pot at least 12" in diameter. The better the root system the more stems that it will put out and therefore more blooms. Clematis roots spread wide and deep.

When you repot pot it a few inches deeper than in the original pot. I would prune it by at least half when repotting.
