Beautiful molding!!! Height of ceiling?

What is the height of these ceilings? My walls are 8 ft tall do you think crown molding would make the ceiling look shorter? We have a lot of light and white marble floors so the ceiling doesn't seem short now. Would love to add molding. Thank you!
