How long and narrow is it?

Check Ballard Designs, they have several less than 11". Also, Pier One has a nice 10" deep console.

I was happy with the finish and the quality but I did not pay that much for it! There is a post on this forum by TurquioseRose that shows a photo of the Pier One console in her narrow hallway. Not sure how to find it.

Instead of using one long runner, I would put two shorter ones which will fit your space. Breaking up the runners should actually make your hallway look not as narrow.

If you scroll about halfway down this post you'll see how the Pier One console fits in TR's narrow hall. It's perfect!

Best way to decorate a long hallway is with some wallpaper. They now make removable wallpaper for rental properties. I'd think about maybe doing panels of wallpaper with nothing in between to make it more interesting. Or if you do decide to get a narrow console table, maybe just put the wallpaper behind it. Or maybe do just one long wall.
